Cookie Policy

How this website uses cookies and similar technologies, and how you can manage your choices.

Last updated:

Privacy Policy

1. What cookies are

Cookies are small files stored by your browser when you visit a website. Similar technologies, such as local storage, can also remember preferences or help measure how a site is used. Session cookies expire when you close your browser; persistent cookies remain until they expire or you delete them.

This policy covers the portfolio website operated by Marcel Andreazza. It explains the technologies configured on this site, including those that run only after your permission.

2. Necessary storage and preferences

c15t stores your cookie choices in a first-party cookie and local storage so the site can respect them on later visits. The consent cookie normally expires after one year. Browser storage may remain until you clear it or the application updates it. In offline mode, consent preferences are saved in your browser rather than submitted to a c15t consent server.

The site also remembers your language with a NEXT_LOCALE cookie for up to 200 days, your light or dark theme in local storage, and whether you have confirmed your language. These preferences support the interface and are not used for advertising.

If you use a sign-in page, Firebase Authentication or Clerk may use cookies or browser storage to authenticate you, keep your session secure and prevent abuse. This storage relates to the sign-in service you choose to use.

3. Analytics and performance — optional

Analytics tools wait until you explicitly accept the Analytics category. PostHog measures visits and interactions and can provide session recordings. Microsoft Clarity, when configured, provides interaction analysis, heatmaps and session recordings. These tools may use identifiers, cookies and local storage.

Google Tag Manager loads after Analytics consent and manages the tags configured in its published container, including Google Analytics when enabled there. Analytics storage follows your Analytics choice. The exact Google cookies depend on the tags that are enabled.

Vercel Web Analytics measures visits and Vercel Speed Insights measures page performance. Although these services are designed to work without analytics cookies, this site also waits for Analytics consent before loading them.

4. Marketing — optional

Marketing consent controls advertising storage, advertising user data and advertising personalization signals sent to Google, and advertising storage permission sent to Clarity. In this implementation, these integrations load only when Analytics is also accepted.

Giving Marketing consent does not by itself mean that an advertisement is displayed. Advertising activity depends on the tags enabled in Google Tag Manager and the providers’ configuration.

5. Cookie names and lifetimes

Common provider identifiers include ph_* for PostHog, _clck and _clsk for Clarity, and _ga and _ga_* when Google Analytics is enabled through Tag Manager. These are examples rather than a guarantee that each cookie is present. Providers can change names, storage methods and lifetimes.

Your browser’s site-data controls show the cookies actually stored on your device and their expiration dates. Session recordings and analytics events kept by a provider have separate retention settings; a cookie’s expiration does not describe how long those records are retained.

6. Manage or withdraw your consent

Choose Accept All to allow optional categories, Reject All to allow only necessary storage, or Cookie Settings to choose categories individually. You can reopen Privacy Settings in the footer or use the button on this page at any time. Browsing a policy page does not require accepting optional cookies.

Withdrawing Analytics stops future collection through the consent-controlled integrations. The site may reload to stop scripts that were already running. Withdrawing consent does not automatically delete information already received by providers; contact Marcel Andreazza to request access or deletion where applicable.

You can also delete or block cookies and local storage in your browser. Blocking necessary storage may affect sign-in or saved preferences, and clearing site data may cause the consent banner to appear again.

7. Updates and questions

This policy may change when the site’s tools or practices change. The date shown above identifies the latest revision. Read the Privacy Policy for details about personal information and contact options.
